Sometimes anxiety can make us feel “stuck.”
Anxiety can stop us from living the life we want and the life we deserve.
Every day we wake up with the renewed hope that today will be different, that we will be healthier, more productive, and less crippled by our anxiety. However, by mid-afternoon, we often realize that we have fallen back into the same unproductive patterns as the previous day.
A rut. Anxiety can freeze our positive outlook and turn us into someone who is scared to break the pattern of monotony. It creates a vicious cycle, a rut, and we are fearful of the work it takes to change this.
We are forever worrying, always overly cautious, and this causes us much torment and distress.
We live in a world of demands placed on us by work, family, friends, and even our own selves. It can all feel incredibly overpowering, like it’s just too much!
What can happen if we stay in the rut created by anxiety?
As a woman, the repetitiveness and weight of the daily grind can seem unbreakable.
Routine, routine, and more routine.
Then, when we add anxiety to the mix, the smallest things, like running an errand or getting ready in the morning, become almost unsurmountable.
And children. A woman may ‘want’ a child, but then comes the reality of adding the stress of caring for a child onto an already tenuous situation. Overwhelm hits head on.
